Rizzn:
Hello to everybody listen on the recording. I am Rizzn aka Dr. Bitcoin, running the free rush hour account here for our weekly community catch up and NFT allowlist giveaway. Going to wait a couple minutes here while our co-hosts and friends and fellow down members join the group. So just hang tight. We’ll get started in a moment.

Schlomo:
Hello everybody. Happy free last Friday.

Rizzn:
How’s it going?

Schlomo:
Doing really, really good. It’s a beautiful Friday and I’m glad.

FleetingMinded:
Hey, good morning guys.

Schlomo:
Hey, how are you?

FleetingMinded:
Doing good. Brought some updates with me today.

Schlomo:
You brought what?

FleetingMinded:
Some updates with me.

Schlomo:
Oh, nice.

FleetingMinded:
Yeah.

Schlomo:
We’re just going to chill for a couple more minutes while the room starts collecting itself. See if more people… And we’ll get started.

Schlomo:
One of these days, I’m going to hook up some hold music to this, to this little thing.

Rizzn:
Just play some summer song on a loop.

Schlomo:
Something. Yeah.

FleetingMinded:
Honestly, Schlomo, I come here for your smooth soothing voice is very reassuring every Friday as I get my day started.

Schlomo:
Is it really? That’s awesome. Welcome to free Ross Friday.

FleetingMinded:
We’re going to get started in a couple minutes. It’s three after let’s give it maybe another minute or two, right? I see other of our Dallas are coming into the room. Hello. If anyone wants to be up on stage, just, give a raise the hand and come on it. I think we’re waiting also for Jinxy who has a deck to keep us a thing. I have not done anything to it, because I’m in meetings all Friday morning, but my heart is here.

Rizzn:
I added a few things to the list. My heart is also here, but my body is in the middle of a Bitcoin mine today. So if it’s loud in the background, let me know.

Schlomo:
I’m feeling. We should just get started. Now that’s five after.

Rizzn:
Yeah, I’m fine with that.

Schlomo:
I mean this Space is being recorded. I think everyone knows that so they could come to it.

Rizzn:
And finger thing has been doing a great job of getting these put onto our blog. We’re just about caught up on everything. So transcribed and put on our blog as well as on our YouTube channel.

Schlomo:
Really? I didn’t even know that. We need to start having those posted in general. Well, after he does that, so we’re all reminded for those who needed. For sure. There’s all this stuff going on. I don’t even know. We are such we are such a what? A crafty little machine.

Rizzn:
Indeed.

Schlomo:
Crafty little machine for social justice and to free Ross. All right, well there’s no gavel to bang, but let’s bang that gavel and let’s talk to each other. It’s been an exciting week. Where is this deck?

Rizzn:
I am digging for it presently.

Schlomo:
Oh, none of us are ready for this meeting. No hold music. No deck to keep us on task. Only a rambling caffeinated.

Rizzn:
Well, I know one of the things that I put on the list is the fact that we’ve added like 300 or so 250 new dead members to the DAO overnight.

Schlomo:
Okay. That comes later. There’s a whole reason we’re talking about this stuff, but okay. I mean you could decontextualize that whole thing, like [inaudible 00:06:17].

Rizzn:
It’s a good headline. It’s click bait. It’s to get people engaged here so you can get…

Schlomo:
All right, engagement farmers. We have about 600 people that are socials and I’m not sure how many joined our discord last night. Why did they do that? Because we haven’t allowlist page that we launched last night and we did it on premint. If you go and point your browser, I’m just going to get started without this deck. If you just go and point your browser to premit.xyz/freerossdown, you will see our allow list page. Now, when we talk about an allowlist, for those of us who are in the DAO, for those of us who already have some of our governance token free. Those who have free will be the first able to purchase, those on this allow list without free will be the second group able to purchase. And then the general public, if there’s anything left over will be the third group allowed to purchase, right?

Schlomo:
Everybody likes to say, how quick will this sell out? I even had a great little convo this morning with Jeremy about it is like it could happen in 30 seconds. It could happen in 30 days. It could take us the whole rest of the quarter to fill. Some days I feel will go quick and some days I feel it’s the opposite. Today Ethereum’s at about 1600. What does that mean for us to sell? Well, it means 1.3 Ethereum is empirically worthless than Fiat, which may make someone buy because we are true Degen play, right? We, we are people who really are involved in this space and they want to invest into this and help us. So it could go either way. We just wake up in the morning and do our best to find more and more eyes to look at us. And the premint is support.

Schlomo:
Sure some of these folks are bots, but welcome to the industry, right? Right. There’s definitely people in there who are actual capital P thinking human, right? They’re definitely people, but some of are robots in the end, I’m looking at our page and we’ve almost gone up a thousand people on our socials, which as a number I’m very happy with. And I hope some of those people who are coming in our Discord will get engaged with our program. In the end though, I will take their 0.3 Ethereum and let them go Degen their lives away because they’re still helping the cause. Right. There’s room for everybody. Some people just like to give money to a cause some people like to do work for the cause. Some people do both. We have room for everybody here.

Rizzn:
Absolutely. Yeah. It’s pretty exciting to see that number blow up overnight. So…

Schlomo:
I told you’d like it, my buddy.

Schlomo:
I love working with just putting this out there. I love working with Dr. Bitcoin, because we both have a similar goal, which is to do the best we can do. But we bounce concepts off of each other even sometimes one of us is not quite into it, talks the other one into it and vice versa. And this was like, well, why are we doing this? It costs money. I was because I need to see numbers go up. And we haven’t even had it for 15 hours and we are already feeling some self worth. We now have this list. If you look in the back, end of premint you can’t but we could show you the data later if you’d like, it doesn’t really matter. But it’s getting us this contact list where we have their Twitter, we have their Discord, we have money in their wallet that we’re now seeing, right. So we have ways to engage these people. Even if they don’t do the mint, we are creating a list and getting it out.

Rizzn:
Right. So, okay. Jinxy is getting me the slide deck. If you want to vent for five minutes, I can pull it up.

Schlomo:
I feel I could vent for five hours, on this DAO I’m drinking. I’m feeling good, super sexy and full of self worth. So totally ready to help free Ross. So yeah. Is there any questions I could answer for our group here as we are moving through one, I want to make sure that you don’t feel like you’re being run over by these other, like folks coming in. I want you to feel engaged and I want you to make sure you know that like you are the core. You guys are the ones who build and I want to make sure you guys are all happy with what we all are doing.

Schlomo:
Whoa, quiet in the room. Quiet in the room. I’m going to take that as absolute acquiescence dish [foreign language 00:11:10] constant love.

Rizzn:
Okay. I now have a deck. I’ll shoot you the URL as well over DM real quick.

Schlomo:
Okay, which DM?

Rizzn:
Discord. I just sent you via Discord.

Schlomo:
All right. Oh yeah, here we go. I mean, where I go no decks.

Rizzn:
There’s no, there’s nothing in our announcement list. I guess the biggest announcement is the premint thing, which I shared the tweet with the link to it here in the Spaces. If you’re following along at home, on your, in your book on a recording that is premint.xyz/freerossdown all lowercase, is case sensitive. Let’s see what other would be. Any other announcements you can think of before we move on.

Schlomo:
Not major announcements in terms of like, we go to New York in about a week, all of that is going, we have started to show you y’all from West and his team’s screen captures from the VR composite of a jail cell that they’re dealing with. We have started leaking those out. We have started some great, like we have this long thread about what Schubert means to this whole project that Jess did that If you haven’t seen it’s so good.

Rizzn:
Yes.

Schlomo:
Are these announcements? That’s these are the announcements I have in life. It’s all about this mint and it’s all about New York happening in a week or so. That my answer. Does anyone have any questions or comments about either of those two things since we’re here in this moment about it? I know Jeremy’s finding now to come. We are going to do a free Ross down, get together when the Critical Massive is all, are there. That is on the 23rd. We will have a place that we will figure out once we’re on the ground there. And so by the 23rd, all of you guys coming to visit, we will know where we’re going to go hang out for a little while just to make sure we get some hugs, as a group.

Rizzn:
Exactly. Okay. So I just shared out to the Twitter spaces, a tweet that has some of the VR work that what we’re working on. Do you want to speak to any event that you’re in, any updates in that department with…

FleetingMinded:
Yeah. I’d love to give you guys a couple of updates. I’ve got, I’ve got some solid bullet points to share. So we have the experience running on the quest two, that was the target platform and it’s running well right now the prison cell is done. It’s textured and light mapped. And the layout is tweaked to look appropriate in VR, Ross’s hand drawn animation is looking great, not too many spoilers, but we are rendering part of it in real time in the environment. And it looks really cool right now. So we’re excited about that. His hand written letter is being utilized and can be read as well.

FleetingMinded:
And it’s Schubert is almost done and it’s being created to act, be accurately modeled after the original sketches. And we’ll be putting some final touches on the whole thing next week, including some spacial audio, a final visual pass, and then we’re going to do some, some real hard days of testing. And then the animation triggers are all working. So we’re looking good. We’re on time and we should done in, well in advance of our leave date, which is going to be next Sunday. So it’s exciting.

Schlomo:
Super exciting and I can’t wait to see you and I can’t wait to eat some New York food.

FleetingMinded:
Yeah, very excited.

Schlomo:
Does anyone have any questions for West since he’s our VR master? He’s the heading that whole department. Does anyone have any questions or comments about what is going on with that?

Jeremy:
Yeah. West, actually. Great, thanks for sharing those details. The screenshots look excellent. I think when you were on here a couple weeks ago, you had spoke a little bit, I think buttercup asked a question about the assets and stuff like that from the project. Can I ask you, is this being developed and did you say unreal? But it’s actually going to be in unity or something like that, Unity. And…

FleetingMinded:
Oh, go ahead. Sorry, go ahead.

Jeremy:
I was going to ask if it was going to be unity, if you were going to be releasing the source or whatever.

FleetingMinded:
So the environment, part of the assets that we’re using from the original environment were developed in unreal. We’ve exported them and re-imported them into unity. And, and we built the experience in unity and we will be giving everything to the DAO at the end of this. You guys own everything. So if the DAO chooses to share it and make the code available to everyone, then absolutely. But I wouldn’t want to make that decision, but it will belong to the DAO.

Jeremy:
Can I also ask the video? The screenshot actually kind of looks a little familiar, like remember the video that was produced, that was part of the Genesis collection that was not Ross’s work. It was a video that we have been playing. It looks like almost parts of that was like the cell, right? Like I noticed the color of the wall and the particular features of the paint peeling off the wall type of stuff. But yeah, actually now that you mentioned the unity thing yeah, of course is that a lot to figure that out. But I personally am very excited about looking into the unity source code because I know how to navigate that Space. So even though I haven’t fucked with VR, but this is a reason to get an Oculus, I suppose.

FleetingMinded:
Yeah. I mean absolutely. And it’ll be, we’re going to deliver it using Weaver, virtual studio or our source control software that Weaver’s working on right now. So you’ll be able to easily get on there. You’ll be able to create a separate branch and, just dig to your hearts content essentially.

Jeremy:
Right, one more question. Now I know you said the source code being released is an issue that DAOs got to explore, but if folks at home aren’t going to be able to come to New York, whether they could just simply download and run it in their Oculus. I’m wondering if that is something that we plan to consider doing or should do, or shouldn’t do just thoughts.

Rizzn:
Schlomo has got more of this in his head than I do, but I think the plan is always to, once we debut the experience in New York so that we can have a thousand simultaneous Ross Ulbricht grow in the dark exhibits, not simply one single physical installation somewhere. So, I mean, we’ll probably figure out what the licensing scheme is, I would imagine, after discussion, most people in the Dallas seem to like that creative commons license that we used for Genesis collection. So if I had to guess, that’s probably where we’re going to end up landing on it in the future.

Jeremy:
I asked this because it’s a very remarkable project, right? People could actually experience solitary confinement if they have an Oculus at home. And if we were able to make that public, that would have a wider reach, it might lose its novelty value if, as far as us going on the road with tours and stuff like that, but not necessarily, but just throwing it out there, it would be pretty cool if it was public, just the finalized version, maybe not necessarily the source, but…

Rizzn:
Yeah.

Schlomo:
Yeah. I could definitely see a version that, I mean this is about getting as many eyeballs contextualized to our true goal, which is listening to Bob Ross’s story and humanizing prison reform that anyone who is in that mindset and wants to utilize this thing I’m all in for. Does that make sense? And it’s not a big deal for us to put it out for people to just have it like, that’s great.

Schlomo:
And I don’t think it would lose any specialness like someone else could have, we have a different appear, but I don’t think by just having it available, loses the specialness of putting into a gallery because you’re going to come to New York and see what West and his teams are doing to put this in a Space before you put on the Oculus, right? Like you walk a room that is already set up demonstrating what the art piece is about. You’re in a prison room, we have this sync toilet combo in the corner, and then there’s also a screen that’s showing the 3D shower in the, in the cell. Right. And things like that. So one is making this immersive environment and the other is sharing the actual VR artwork. They’re not in fight of each other. They’re in tandem.

Rizzn:
Cool. Any other questions don’t have a ton on the agenda today? So we can, we can spend a lot of time talking about stuff if we want to.

Mick Jay:
I just wanted to say number one, thanks to West for all the great work that they’ve been doing on this, because everything I’ve seen so far looks really great. Just a quick idea. If anybody hasn’t or have thought about this, the part of taking this entire thing and recreating it inside of a spatial instance has anybody had that thought rolling around in your head? Or do we just want to strictly keep this just…

Schlomo:
What are you saying? Can you say that again,

Mick Jay:
There’s a platform out and it’s mainly geared towards building virtual 3D virtual galleries full of NFTs, but they’ve also added the functionality to where you can build entire little spaces inside of your instance. So we could actually take this and it’s up online all the time. So this is something I was thinking about, the idea would be to take what West crew are doing and recreating it inside of a spatial gallery. So that not only do we have the save quest app and the roving exhibit, we also would have a 100% online all the time that anybody could visit stumble upon or actively seek out this available 24 7.

Schlomo:
Totally. Now I understand what you’re talking about. Sorry.

Rizzn:
No, that sounds cool. I like, I like that idea.

FleetingMinded:
I mean, that would be awesome.

Schlomo:
[Crosstalk 00:22:36]. And then also remember the other aspect of lesson’s doing is isolating Schubert as its own 3D assets. So we could put that into a million online environments as well. Right. But that would be done because someone’s like, hey, I want to bring it to decentraland. And we already have this build done to help them achieve that goal. So it would be great to have this, there’s a million galleries now being open in the metaverse for lack of better term. And I definitely, I would hope that whoever we would do it would be someone who would have some stake in the game to have it on their service. Like they would put some marketing money behind it or something like that. You know what I mean is my hope. And that would be the one we would choose. Does that make sense? But I’m open to yeah. Sense, but I’m open to all of them. I’m just, let’s try and be cognizant that we would hope to go with one that wouldn’t last and not one that would already close down in like a year. Right.

Rizzn:
Ideally. Yep. Cool. Any other thoughts on that before we move on? Okay. So we’ve talked a little bit about, actually Renee’s not here. NFT marketplace is on the agenda, but I guess Renee is spending some time with family today. So we did get a bit of an update on was that Monday? I’m not sure if it’s my side, that’s the issue or if everybody else is the issue, I am not hearing.

FleetingMinded:
No, it sounded like robot blips to me too.

Rizzn:
Okay well, like I said I’m in the sticks today at a Bitcoin mine. So I didn’t know if my connection was weak in this part of the building. So we did get an update from Renee and from the artisan folks on the NFT marketplace. There’s some interesting stuff there. It feels like that’s starting to come together. I think the timeline is still like a quarter away or so, but the branding stuff is starting to come together. The protocol for the donations starting to sound pretty interesting. I think we have, if somebody wants to, anybody in the DAO wants to review that in great detail. We’ve got an hour long tour of everything there that we can make available either in announcements or a general thread or something like its actually it’s linked in.

Schlomo:
Oh no, does anyone hear me?

Rizzn:
I can hear you. But Mac you were a part of that team and you had some questions and some comments during Renee’s kind of demo that he ran on Monday. So if you wanted to kind of recap or talk about anything you saw there, you can, you can have the floor if you like.

Mick Jay:
Sure. The big thing was is that they were throwing some ideas around about the, and showing the fonts that they were looking at using. And we were also obviously are having the dove emoji as like the graphical element in the word mark and logo mark. And the only concern that I had was to make sure that we were using maybe our own hand drawn approximation of the emoji or if we were using one that was from an online database or that’s people built out like copyright free and free to use emojis and stuff because the big thing that I want to make sure that we avoid is having copyright issues with apple or Google or Twitter or whoever, if we were trying to use one of their emojis could cause a lot of problems for us in the long run.

Mick Jay:
So we’d rather try and avoid that right now. But other than that, everything that we saw on Monday just looks great. I really like the direction that we’re going. We’re looking at using color palette. That’s based on more the, you know, the like Jamaican flag reggae style. And it’s also pulling from some of Ross’s actual artwork and everything that I saw there so far. I really like, and Renee came up with the idea, which I think is actually a fantastic idea is to standardize the style of artwork for any kind of tweets or, you know, any kind of social media stuff or articles that we write or blog posts on the DAO site and everything to match up with the like four color screen print, like 60s reggae poster, music poster style. And I thought that was an absolutely fantastic idea to really kind of pull the identity of everything we’re working with together.

Mick Jay:
So we’re going to be working on getting that set up so that somebody who needs to do a piece of have an image for anything that they’re working on, we can run it through that set of filters or Photoshop actions or however we put it together and it will be ready and brand specific. So yeah, everything’s on a good path in my opinion. So there’s that If anybody has any questions, go ahead. All right. I guess we’re on to the next thing.

Jeremy:
The next thing. So anyways, real quick, just a brief announcement. The Thursday letter writings that we do every Thursday still happening 7:00 PM central standard time. It’s been kind of generalized into a general weekly Discord hang in informal once again, everybody free to join no agenda, no nothing, but we’re still doing letter writing and talking about letter writing and anybody who comes in will talk all about the different ways to get communications to Ross letter writing, put pictures and all this stuff, but we’re just going to make it also just a general hang since that’s functionally where it’s been most of us write letters on the side, not while we’re talking to each other and Discord, but that’s also still happening every Thursday though. All are welcome.

Rizzn:
And Lynn was there last night, sorry.

Jeremy:
Yeah We had a surprise guest appearance. Lynn jumped on and blessed us for a couple hours with all the hot deeds. She actually was trying to make it today. We’ve been trying to get her to come to the Twitter spaces. She actually just messaged me, but she said, she’s going to try to make it next week, next Friday for Twitter spaces. So it was…

Rizzn:
Oh, good.

Jeremy:
Open invitation. Anytime of course, but she’s going to try to make it next Friday.

Rizzn:
Fantastic. Yeah. I while you…

Jeremy:
Right before you started talking, Jeremy, I realized I had talked for about two minutes on mute so.

Rizzn:
The thing that I was saying was Schlomo, do you have any branding, marketing updates or JJ, either war that are not NFT NYC related? Cause that’s the last thing on our agenda today. I see Schlomo, but I don’t hear Schlomo and he’s unmuted. So he might be having a connection issue.

Rizzn:
I know that we’ve been plugging away on the social side, JJ and prosper have been getting pretty crazy with the memes and the graphics and aggressively pursuing growth on primarily Instagram and Twitter, correct me if I’m wrong. So it’s been good to see some results there. Fun reminder, we do have to anybody listening live or on demand, we do have some rewards for following us on the various social media platforms. So if you aren’t yet following our Instagram, you can pick up some free for doing that. I’m going to push process those bounties as often as possible. So that as many of you that want to take some of those bounties can get on the allowlist for the pre allowlist for the mint pass we’re doing in the middle of month. So anything else that I’m forgetting? Schlomo JJ? Anybody? No.

Rizzn:
Okay. Well that is all that I have on my list to talk about. Let me see. Any other open items’ anybody else wants to talk about anything else? Suggestions, ideas. This is the place to float something ask a question about anything we’ve talked about so far. All right. Well, I guess that was a quick roundup. This week we’ve been really busy, but we’ve been very focused, which is why our list was a little shorter than normal, but as always, it’s great to have everybody here and feel free to join us on the Discord. Join free rush.com and free Ross Friday everybody.

FleetingMinded:
Free Ross Friday

Jeremy:
Free Ross Friday.

Schlomo:
